Installation Methods

NethServer supports two installation methods:

• Installing from ISO: suitable for physical servers with an optical drive, or to install NethServer in a Virtual Machine.
  • Installing NethServer in a Virtual Machine:
    • Installation on Hyper-V
    • Installation on Proxmox
    • Installation on VirtualBox
    • Installation on VMWare /ESXI

• Installing from YUM (on top of a fresh CentOS installation): this is the recommended installation method if you have a Virtual Private Server (VPS).
